New Tools for the German Text Archive (“Deutsches Textarchiv”) available via CLARIN’s Language Resource Switchboard (LRS)

As part of the 25-month-long project CLARIAH-DE, whose aim it is to merge the two Humanities research infrastructures CLARIN-D and DARIAH-DE, new tools for text analysis have been made available at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities ("Berlin-Brandenburgische Akademie der Wissenschaften"). All works contained in the German Text Archive ("Deutsches Textarchiv") can be transmitted via URL to the Language Resource Switchboard (LRS), which has been developed in CLARIN-PLUS.

The LRS evaluates the text files and consequently offers an arrange of different tools with which the texts can be analysed. Texts can thus be submitted to a morphological analysis, but there are also tools for lemmatisation, named entity recognition, part-of-speech tagging as well as constituency and dependency parsing.
